About the position

As a Technical Service Engineer Aerospace, you will be the technical point of contact for our aerospace customers and support them in existing programs and developing new Aerospace business. This means you provide and support customers with technical information about our materials. Furthermore, you have an important role in assisting our sales teams in presenting the advantages and properties of Diab products and our main applications.

This is an exciting new position where you have the opportunity to be a part of an international and market-leading company. You will work closely with our sales teams, technical department and other Diab teams internationally, to share experience and knowledge. Together with your colleagues, you will secure Diab's position as market leader.

Other responsibilities are to:

• Drive the qualification of our materials with customers and the development of products
• Assist our customers in presenting the advantages and properties of our products and main applications
• Drive and perform testing at Diab plants and external test labs for internal R&D projects
• Drive new projects
• Coordinating the qualification tests requested and the design and manufacturing of foam and sandwich prototypes with our lab and technical department. This also includes external labs and partners when needed.

You will work from home office located in France, preferably in the Toulouse area although this is not a requirement. Traveling will be required to customers in Europe and to our production site in Sweden. Initially, this position supports our customers in Europe but might be extended to also include customers in the US and Asian market.

We are looking for

We are looking for someone with broad knowledge in polymers and composite materials and their manufacturing process. You have comprehensive knowledge of the materials commonly used in sandwich composite for Aerospace, particularly for cabin interior. You have proven experience working with sales teams and to deliver technical composite material information and solutions to help support individual customer requirements.

Furthermore, we think you have:

• Knowledge within the typical qualification process of materials and parts in Aerospace
• Experience and knowledge of AS9100
• Previous experience in polymer and composite materials testing and knowledge of the related standards used in Aerospace
• Knowledge to analyze the results of the typical physical, chemical and mechanical tests involved in qualification programs
• An Engineering Degree (Bachelor or Master level)
• At least 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace
• Fluent in English and French
